I've been looking into getting new bindings for a while now...my Ride LX bindings are completely falling apart.

I have my eye on Rome 390s right now I've only heard good things. I ride park on the east coast and I'm mostly into jibbing.

Any other recommendations? What does everyone here like to ride?

I've only ever ridden rossignol bindings
ive had the HC2000 and HC3000 and have loved both

Do you ride park though? I feel like Rossignol Bindings would be really stiff. Don't really trust companies that make both ski and snowboard equipment.

the 390's look and feel so nice, i havent ridden them personally, but ive handled them in shop, i like unions the cadets or the new contacts would are both awesome solid bindings

why not go to your local shop and ask them... usually a good source of info.

bindings, like anything else, are all personal preference. youll here good and bad things about nearly every binding and every company out there. find something that will fit your wants and just go with it. if it sucks try somethin new next year

Yea a friend of mine has the 390s and loves them. They seem incredibly soft though. I donno if this could be a bad thing but I think its the best bet as I'm mostly jibbing boxes flat bars down rails, etc. A kid I work with at my local mountain got a pair of unions last year and was pretty happy with them too.

I work in a shop and we've gotten quite a good variety in this year. The 390's are nice, lot's off padding and no fancy things, nice and basic. They're not super soft but theyre still soft enough to have a lot of freedom to press and whatnot when jibbing. Rome also uses a zero degree angle on the high backs, unlike burtons, which also makes them real jibby since it's not forcing your knees to be bent more then you want. I rode a set of my friends unions last year. He had the airblaster colab edition and they were super cush. They still had good response but were soft enough to be playful.

P.S. Alot of "non" ski board companies, are pressed by ski companies. I ride an atomic board and love it. Just because a company makes skis, doesn't mean they can't make good board equipment.

you dont NEED a soft binding for jibbin. if you know people with these different set-ups try them out. seems like pretty obvious way to figure out what you want

UNION forces are super nice and durable 390s are alright but my friend had a pair that had a little buckle trouble

I bought Union Contacts just before the season and they are super light, supposedly lightest on the market, but mine are falling apart. All 4 straps fell off, it stripped the inserts in my boxscratcher, and the footbed that covers the screws broke so it pops up all the time. The same things are happening to my friends too. So just saying maybe pass those up. I got Flux Super Titans last week and so far they are so nice. They are really padded, controlling, flexible, and look pretty dope. I'm a jibber too and they're great all around. They are $220 but the Emblems series is $180 (Prices at the only store in Ak that sells them) and are the same thing. Hope this helps.

mattjorg: I agree wit trying out different boards an bindings. Hopefully this year I will be doing a program called "Ride and Rate" at my local mountain where you get to just try out a bunch of next years equipment and then write small reviews on them. Might be a good way to figure out what I like most.

Cameron McCormick: I donno bout the Unions then. I've mostly heard good things about them.
